Ukrainian national rail operator Ukrzaliznytsya does not plan to stop the railway communication with Russia, UZ press center told Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday. The comment was in response to Russian media reports that Kyiv plans to cancel the passenger communication between Ukraine and the Russian Federation from July 1.

Ukrzaliznytsya has neither taken such decisions nor has received such instructions from higher authorities.

The company said that tickets for Russia-bound trains are available 30 days prior to the travel, ie until June 23 inclusively at UZ online booking service.

Russian publication Kommersant has previously reported with a reference to "sources close to Ukrainian government" that Ukraine is planning to halt the railway passenger communication with Russia.
