Interior Ministry to appeal against size of pledges of detained former tax chiefs
Arsen Avakov says some court decisions are unfair.
The Interior Ministry will appeal the decisions of courts on pre-trial restrictions to those arrested in the case on former tax officials, the minister Arsen Avakov said on the talk show Left Bank with Sonya Koshkina on Thursday. He said courts are yet to consider pre-trial restrictions in six more cases and they will be able to come out by posting 220 mn bails, which, in his opinion, is "a sizable amount".
"Meanwhile, some detainees were released on 26mn hryvnia bails which we consider disproportionate and will appeal against," said Avakov.
At the same time, Avakov said the Thursday special operation was well-prepared.
