The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at a meeting on July 19 approved the financial plan of Naftogaz of Ukraine without a raise the price of gas for the population.
The Minister of Economy Stepan Kubiv said as he presented the draft that the plan's revenue indicators will be adjusted in accordance the tariffs effective as of 1 April, 2017.
In the 2017 draft financial plan of Naftogaz, which was submitted for discussion by the government on Wednesday envisaged an almost 19% increase in utility gas tariffs from 1 October to UAH 5,873 / thousand cu m.
Since April 1, 2017, the government set the price of natural gas for the population, religious organizations and heat and communal services at 4,942 hryvnia per thousand cubic meters.
"The approval by the Cabinet of Ministers' decision of the financial plan will help the improvement and effective management of the reorganization process that are underway. When approving this plan we adjust the revenue indicators for 2017, according to the current prices," Kubiv told the Cabinet.
The Cabinet approved the decision unanimously.
