On 11 October at 12:00, Gorshenin Institute will host a round table conference on the topic "Why Ukraine still does not have a museum of contemporary art?"
Experts will discuss the following aspects:
1. Why does a country need a special museum of modern arts and how its collection should be formed?
2. Should Ukrainian Museum of Modern Art be a separate institution or as a branch of an already existing national museum? Is it necessary to have such a museum in Kyiv?
3. Who plays the main role in creating a museum of contemporary arts: the state, the art community, etc.? How should the museum be financed and how much will it cost to create it?
4. What hinders the creation and effective functioning of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Ukraine?
