The Constitutional Court has concluded that President Petro Poroshenko's bill on the cancellation of MP immunity from prosecution as of 1 January 2020 is in line with the constitution.
"At the same time, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine would like to note that while taking the decision to lift MP immunity, the condition of the political and legal system of Ukraine should be taken into account, the court said.
Immunity from prosecution is not a MP privilege, it protects them from illegal interference in their activity, the court said.
