Ukrainian ombudsperson Lyudmyla Denisova has asked her Russian counterpart Tatyana Moskalkova to reveal the whereabouts of the 24 Ukrainian sailors arrested following the Russian attack on three naval ships on 25 November.
"Because of the conflicting reports on the whereabouts of the Ukrainian prisoners of war, I have asked Russian ombudsperson Tatyana Moskalkova to urgently verify this information and get back to me as soon as possible," she said on Facebook.
Russia-controlled courts in Crimea arrested all the 24 Ukrainian servicemen, including three wounded ones, for two months on suspicion of illegal border crossing.
