The Central Electoral Commission has cancelled local elections in 42 united territorial communities in the regions where Kiev declared martial law, the Opora civil network has said.
These are Vinnytsya, Odesa, Mykolayiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
Because of martial law, 45 initial and seven additional elections scheduled for 23 December and 19 interim elections due in the coming weeks have been cancelled.
