Valeryi Zaluzhnyi, Ukraine’s Armed Forces Commander in Chief, has thanked generals, officers, sergeants, and soldiers who are defending Ukraine right now.
In his Facebook post, Zaluzhnyi said: “I thank every one of you who is defending our land against the Russian occupants today. Also, I’d like to thank your relatives for waiting for you. Thank you, Ukrainian People, for your trust, help, and prayers.”
Zaluzhnyi also emphasized that the entire defense and security sectors are doing a great job of stopping the occupation.
“It’s going to be hard, but we will stand. Russian Blizkrig failed. They’ll wash with their own blood! Truth is on our side. God is with us. And victory is going to be ours!” – he added.
As noted earlier, everybody who is capable of holding and using a rifle can join the territorial defense. Earlier today, Ihor Klymenko, Ukraine’s Head of the national police, ordered all local police heads in the regions to issue firearms to the veterans of internal affairs forces.
Ukrainians can also donate blood for wounded soldiers in hospitals.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi noted that everybody needs to keep on working. The banking system of Ukraine has all the required resources. Temporary limitations include issuing cash by banks – Ukrainians can only cash no more than 100,000 hryvnias per day.
