Enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups are trying to enter the part of Kyiv on the left bank of the Dnipro River, according to the National Guard.
“Enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups make repeated attempts to land on Kyiv’s left bank. The Ukrainian military and law enforcement control all the bridges that span the Dnipro and will shoot to kill any target that tries to cross any of the bridges to reach the right bank,” reported the National Guard.
The National Guard added that they ask all citizens to stay in safe places and refrain from trying to cross the Dnipro to reach the right bank.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klytchko, the Ukrainian capital has been through a difficult night, but there are currently no enemy forces in the city. There may be Russian sabotage groups in Kyiv. The enemy is trying to break through to the capital from Hostomel and Zhytomyr.
The Kyiv Metro is working as a bomb shelter. All trains are stopped at present.
