The Ukrainian military, Donetsk police and the local military-civil administration have begun evacuating the residents of Volnovakha and two other settlements.
This was reported by the National Police.
"Women with children and elderly people are being taken out of the city. They could not leave due to constant shelling by Russian troops and spent three days under fire, without food or water. Residents of three settlements are being evacuated", - informed NPU (National Police of Ukraine)
According to police reports, on the way to the destination, the enemy attacked the convoy using MRLS “Grad”. However, people managed to hide in shelters, they all are fine now. There are negotiations with international humanitarian organizations going on in order to organize "a green corridor" for the free evacuation of citizens and delivery of food and water to the city.
The National Police reports that in three days in Volnovakha, the Russian occupiers killed 15 civilians and wounded 20 more. However, the exact data are unknown, as many houses have been destroyed and people may still remain under the rubble.
