The first exchange of the captured soldiers during the Russian-Ukrainian war took place in Sumy Region. Five territorial defence fighters were exchanged for one Russian military police officer, reported the head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, Dmytro Zhyvytskyy.
The Head of the State Administration published the list of the territorial defence fighters who were released from enemy captivity:
- Kvitchenko Dmytro Olehovych, born in 1985, Trostyanets;
- Pozniak Valeriy Semenovych, born in 1965, Vorozhba, Bilopil district;
- Mokrenko Igor Volodymyrovych, born in 1969;
- Frolkov Andriy Vyacheslavovych, born in 1964, Sumy;
- Solonar Oleh Viktorovych, born in 1974, Sumy.
Earlier it was reported that eight Russian soldiers, who “came in for the military training and did not expect to fight”, were detained in Sumy Region.
