Suppliers in Donetsk region raise prices for goods, resulting in higher prices in stores.
The head of the Donetsk Civil-Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko announced this on his Facebook page.
We are working to ensure that Donetsk region is fully supplied with food ... We are making efforts to stabilize prices. Chains have started to deliver goods to their stores despite the fact that their offices were reluctant to deliver in the region. Food has already been delivered to Novohrodovka, Pokrovsk, Selidovo and Myrnohrad. Today we are also expecting deliveries to ATB stores in Bakhmut, Lyman, Slovyansk and Kramatorsk. We are communicating with other chains," Kyrylenko said.
The official said that the authorities are cooperating with volunteers to supply humanitarian aid to Donetsk region.
"We are talking about food and medicine. Employees of the regional military administration, whenever possible, transfer funds to support volunteers, the military, purchase medicines, food, cook and hand these supplies over to volunteers," said Kyrylenko.
The head of the Donetsk military and civil administration stressed that the situation in the region is difficult, "but it is under control. The occupiers will not break us."
Yesterday, on March 1, 346 inhabitants were evacuated from Volnovakha in Donetsk region.
In Mariupol, Russian troops "are deliberately destroying critical and municipal infrastructure facilities: one of the salvos they fired at the municipal enterprise "Komunalnyk", jeopardizing the city's facilities that provide the city's viability," Kyrylenko informed.
