Accounting Chamber asks creditors to write off Ukraine’s debts

As of today, the external debt constitutes 1.6tn hryvnyas, or more than 57bn dollars. This is why international financial organisations must review their debt policy and cancel Ukraine’s debts.

This was reported by the Head of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine, Valeriy Patskan.

“The scale of destruction caused by Russian aggression in Ukraine is colossal! For this reason, it is necessary that external creditors write off Ukraine’s debts,” he writes.

Patskan emphasizes that for today, Ukraine’s external debt constitutes more than 57bn dollars.

“International financial organisations must review their debt policy and cancel Ukraine’s debts! The aggressor will be eliminated! And then, we will need to work on rebuilding our country!” stated the head of the Accounting Chamber.
