During the period from March 2 to 3, Russia has been hit hard in Kharkiv, Izyum, and the villages of Yakivlivka and Khoroshevo. The enemy killed 34 civilians in the region in one day and wounded at least 285, including 10 children.
As a result of ammunition entering houses and administrative buildings, several dozen fires occurred, 30 of which were rescued by the emergency crews, working even under fire. This was reported in the summary of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) in the Kharkiv region as of 8 am on 3 March.
They reminded that the enemy continued to hit residential neighborhoods and entire human settlements with deadly bombs, shells, and rocket artillery.
In the morning of March 3, Russia launched a powerful missile attack on Kharkiv. The missiles hit two administrative buildings, and the area of the fire was 600 square meters. 10 people were rescued from the rubble, four were killed.
At 13:31, Russia fired a shell at a house on Constitution Square in central Kharkiv. Two minutes later it hit with the shell a garage cooperative and killed 3 people.
At 13:57 the Russian shell hit between the 4th and 5th floors of a 16-storey building in Kharkiv on Serdyuk’s street. At 14:40 was a new strike to the center of Kharkiv.
"At 10:13 p.m., an air bomb was dropped on a house at 84 Selyanska Street in Kharkiv. As a result of an airstrike on the building, 55 square meters were caught by fire. At 22:57 the enemy cynically attacked an ordinary Ukrainian village, where there is no military infrastructure. The blow was inflicted on the village of Yakivlivka, Kharkiv region.
At midnight there was a massive air raid on the peaceful city of Izyum - the city of Cossack glory. It lasted from 00:14 to 02:02. The bombs hit houses on Soborna 39 street, Ukrainian, 6 street, M. Fedorenko, 16 street, and others. As a result of the airstrike, a 5-storey residential building was damaged, in which a woman was rescued from the rubble.
At the Ukrainian 8, street, people died, including 2 children (approximately 5-6 years old). Rescuers pulled their bodies out from under the rubble. On M. Fedorenko street, SESU officers rescued 2 women who were trapped in a destroyed house.
In addition, a massive air strike affected the Saltovsky residential area in Kharkiv. Structures were damaged and windows were destroyed in residential multistory buildings. Information on the presence of victims is currently being clarified.
"Rescuers received about 236 applications for ammunition that did not explode. Pyrotechnic units of the SESU, despite the threat of enemy fire, demined 230 of them. We will survive," - summed up in the SESU.
We remind, that on 2 March in Kharkiv the Uspenskiy Cathedral and St. Anthony's Church suffered from attacks. As a result of the shelling, people inside the cathedral were not injured.
