The Speaker of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine addressed the governments and parliaments of the world with a request to immediately close the sky over Ukraine.
The appeal was published on the Facebook page of the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada.
"Russia has put Europe and the world on the brink of nuclear Armageddon. Russian occupation forces are deliberately shelling the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. This is no accident. This is a deliberate attack to cause a global catastrophe," said Ruslan Stefanchuk.
He stressed that the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is much more powerful and dangerous than Chernobyl.
Stefanchuk added that the shelling of such a facility shows that "Putin's crimes have reached global proportions and threaten the existence of Europe and possibly humanity."
"This crime demonstrates the need to establish an unmanned zone over Ukraine as soon as possible in order to protect not only Ukraine but also Europe and the world. Stop the nuclear maniac!" - the speaker of the parliament emphasized.
We remind, that today, on March 4, the Russian troops began shelling the Zaporizhzhia NPP. Acting General Director of the station Ihor Murashov said that nuclear safety at ZNPP was violated.
For a long time, the Russian occupiers did not allow rescuers to the scene of the fire, they fired at firefighters.
