In Lviv, monuments of cultural heritage are being secured against possible damage.
According to the Lviv city council, first of all, they secure the objects of UNESCO world heritage.
“These monuments are a universal world treasure, and they are under the protection of UNESCO. We are covering unique stained-glass windows with protective screens. The rest is being dismantled. Free-standing sculptures of the UNESCO complex are also being protected,” the city administration reports.
In particular, they are being covered with fireproof and protective materials.
It was decided that part of a unique sacral monument, the wooden chapel representing Golgotha, will be dismantled and transported to a shelter.
All the work is being done in cooperation with the local restorers.
