The operational headquarters of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources has begun collecting and summarizing information on the environmental damage caused by the occupier. This was reported by the acting Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Ruslan Strilets.
As of now, due to bombarding, burning petroleum products, or other harmful substances, the most significant negative impact is on the air and land resources of our country.
The radiation background throughout the country is currently within norms.
In general, the ecological situation is controlled.
“I am happy that all Ukrainian ecological governmental and non-governmental institutions are working together today. We have already formed a list of experts at the operational headquarters of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources,” Strilets stated.
Experts will help gather information about industrial and other emergencies caused by the war with rascists (Russian fascists) and prepare the examinations of the consequences to the environment.
According to the official, this will help Ukraine prepare a qualitative package of documents for the UN International Court.
“Our ultimate goal is the compensation of all the damages caused to Ukrainian environment by Russia. Our state inspectors are 24/7 making preliminary calculations, where it is possible, of the damages from aggressive actions of the occupiers. If the calculation is impossible, we record the facts for further work,” the acting Minister stated.
