Since the beginning of the war, Ukraine has received more than 400 tons of medicines totaling more than $ 6.5 million.

This was announced by the chairman of the Committee of Verkhovna Rada on Public Health, Medical Assistance and Medical Insurance Mykhailo Radutskyy on his Facebook page.

"Most aids came from Poland, Latvia, the United Kingdom and Denmark, as well as from the international organizations WHO and UNICEF," Radutskyy wrote.

He noted that the drugs were distributed to the central, eastern and southern regions and allocated to health facilities that assist close to the areas of hostilities.

"Unfortunately, not every hospital has the ability to deliver medicines. Fascist troops refuse to cease fire and organize humanitarian corridors. Today, WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adan Gebreisus publicly called on the occupiers according to the United Nations General Assembly Resolution on Ukraine to take responsibility for unimpeded access to humanitarian aid for those who need it," he added.

We will remind, in the Office of the President of Ukraine they have told about volumes of the humanitarian aid which was sent to the regions most affected by the Russian invasion. More than 400 tons of aid were sent from the Ternopil region by rail alone. In the Mykolayiv region, more than 200 tons of humanitarian aid have been received and handed over to people since the beginning of the war. In the Luhansk region, 300 tons of aid were received, in particular, food was handed over to the residents of Lysychansk and Popasna.
