Kirovohrad police and representatives of the territorial defense have identified two people who may be involved in sabotage and intelligence activities.
This news was reported in the press office of the National Police.
The suspects' car was stopped while crossing the border with the Kirovohrad region. During the inspection of documents, the checkpoint team found that the driver and passenger were natives of the Russian Federation.
“During a thorough inspection of the vehicle in the cabin and luggage compartment found chevrons and individual items of uniform belonging to the Russian Armed Forces, tactical gloves, ammunition for automatic weapons, military bayonets, body from an anti-tank grenade launcher,” - said the National Police.
According to law enforcement officers, the suspects “found information on technical media that may indicate that they were on the territory of Ukraine to conduct military intelligence in favor of the occupying country.” The detainees have been handed over to Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) officers.
On 3 March, Kyiv police detained four saboteurs at one of the metro stations who were attempting to photograph the entrance to the metro station and the surrounding area. They were detained with an arsenal of weapons.
