Russian invaders launched an airstrike on a military unit in the Boryspil district of the Kyiv region.

This was reported by the National Police.

"Today, around 6 pm, the enemy dropped a shell in the Babkino area. There are injured people there. Police are currently inspecting nearby houses for possible damage," police said.

NPU (National Police of Ukraine) officers are currently determining the number of injured people.

According to Boryspil City Mayor, Volodymyr Borysenko, two missiles were destroyed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and the third one hit a military unit.

"Three missiles flew over us. Two of them were destroyed by air defense forces; one hit the territory of the military unit. An air alert was not announced in the city as the flight trajectory was clear," Borysenko said.

As earlier reported, on 8 March 2022, in the Odesa region, the patrol boat "Sloviansk" of Naval Forces of Ukraine sank due to a missile strike of the Russian troops.

Meanwhile, in the Kharkiv region, the local, territorial defense unit and the Armed Forces of Ukraine defeated a Russian landing party of 120 people.
