The Armed Forces of Ukraine are defending Kharkiv and conducting counterattacks in many directions in the region. At the same time, the enemy has shelled the city 29 times during the night. One-third of the city is left without gas due to the gas pipe damage, the head of the Kharkiv regional state administration, Oleh Synehubov, said.
Russian occupiers have launched at least 74 artillery and mortar fire in the region during the last day.
The enemy fired from the multiple launch rocket systems at Oleksiivka, Piatyhatka, Belgorod highway, Holodna Hora, Derhachiv, Chuhuevo, Northern and Southern Salvtivka, “Academic Barabashov” metro station, and the center of Kharkiv.
The city of Kharkiv itself has been shelled 29 times during the night. According to the information from the City Defense Headquarters, the activity of enemy aircraft in the city was not observed; no bombing was carried out.
Due to the shelling with BM-30 Smerch multiple launch rocket system, the houses on Pushkinska street were damaged. The dome of the largest shopping mall in Kharkiv, Nikolsky, was also damaged, with a subsequent collapse inside. SES officers are working at the site.
“Around 5 a.m. due to the enemy shelling of the Northern Saltivka, occupiers have damaged a gas pipeline - 30% of the residents are left without gas, there is a gas fire at the shelling site which has not yet been put out. The rescuers are working on the site,” the head of the Regional state administration reported.
As a result of the enemy shelling of the village in the Kharkiv region, two children and two women had died.
