The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine published operational information as of 06:00 on 10 March, the 15th day of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.
"The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to hold back the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces in Donetsk, Slobozhansky and parts of the Tavriya operational districts. They defend the Ukrainian cities of Kharkiv and Okhtyrka. The main efforts are focused on preventing the enemy from advancing in the south-eastern direction. The all-around defense of the city of Mariupol continues," the statement read.
The ministry said that the Ukrainian forces cover the state border with Belarus. They also hold the defense of Chernihiv, hindering the advance of the Russian army in the direction of Kyiv.
"The grouping of forces and means of defense of the city of Kyiv is in constant readiness to repel the enemy's offensive, inflicts fire damage on the offensive group of occupants and maintains defined defensive lines," as stated.
In the southern direction, Russian troops are holding back in the direction of Kryvyi Rih, Mykolaiv, Voznesensk and the village of Novovorontsovka, Kherson region.
"In other areas of the troops conduct a stabilization operation and perform the tasks of territorial defense."
Units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repel missile and bomb strikes and destroy the enemy's air attack means, carry out air cover of important objects of Ukraine as well as of troops. Over the past two days, fighter jets and anti-aircraft missile units have destroyed four Su-25 attack aircraft and two enemy helicopters.
"The enemy reduced the pace of the offensive, its personnel demoralized. The cases of defection and looting have significantly increased," the defense ministry summed up.
