The Russian occupiers fired on a group of people walking from Chernihiv in the direction of Kulykivka. This was announced by the City Mayor of Mena of Kriukiv district of Chernihiv region, Hennadiy Prymakov.
According to Primakov, one child was killed, and four other people were injured.
"Today, we have a dead girl who, along with other people, was getting out of Chernihiv in the direction of Kulykivka. The Russians shot a group of civilians from tanks. There are victims from Koriukivka and Snovsk; four of our people with injuries that are not life-threatening are in the hospital now,"- Mayor of Mena wrote on Facebook.
The information about the shooting was confirmed by the Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration Viacheslav Chaus, "Suspilne" writes.
In addition, the City Mayor of Novhorod-Siverskyi, Liudmila Tkachenko, said that a 19-year-old boy from their community also had died.
The injured people were taken to Kulykiv Hospital.
The Head of the Regional Prosecutor's Office, Serhiy Vasylyna, said that all the details about the circumstances of the incident, the number of dead and injured, would be announced on the morning of 10 March 2022.
