Sony, which has the most significant presence in the Russian market among console manufacturers, stops selling PlayStation and software in Russia. CNBC reported this.

"Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is joining the world community in calling for peace in Ukraine," the company said.

Sony has suspended the supply of software and hardware in the country and the launch of a new racing game Gran Turismo 7. PlayStation Store will also no longer be available in Russia.

The corporation also announced that it would send $ 2 million to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the international non-governmental organization Save the Children to support the victims of the tragedy in Ukraine.

Earlier, Microsoft stopped selling new products and services in Russia, including Xbox game consoles, software, and subscription services.

CD Projekt, the developer of Cyberpunk 2077, and Electronic Arts have also said they will block all game and content sales in Russia and Belarus.
