France handed over 20 tons of medicines and other aid to Ukraine, - the Ministry of Social Policy

20 tons of medicines and other aid from France arrived to meet the needs of the National Police and war victims.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy.

"The aid was collected with the assistance of the Association of the Mayors of France (AMF). The net weight of aid received is 20 tons, one-fifth of it is food. The aid is intended for the needs of the National Police of Ukraine and residents of the Kyiv region," the Ministry said.

The humanitarian cargo was placed at one of the state’s experimental prosthetic and orthopedic enterprises. 16 volunteers helped to process it.

"Today, this assistance was sent to the recipients," the Ministry said.

The Ministry stressed that they continued to expand the range of partners who help with the attraction, processing and delivery of humanitarian cargo.

Since the beginning of war, Ukraine received more than 400 tons of medicines. Most aid came from Poland, Latvia, the United Kingdom and Denmark, as well as from WHO and UNICEF.

In the first seven days of March, Ukrzaliznytsia delivered 8,882 tons of humanitarian aid to hotspots in Ukraine.
