Prices will be monitored while martial law is in effect.

The government has instructed local authorities together with the National Police, the State Food and Consumer Service, and the State Medical Service to ensure control over the prices of several goods from retailers, Interfax-Ukraina reports.

According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers №223, prices for the following foods will be controlled:

wheat flour;

pasta;

bread, french bread;

buckwheat and oatmeal;

pork, beef, poultry (chicken carcasses);

milk, sour cream;

butter;

chicken eggs;

sunflower oil;

sugar.

Retail prices for white cabbage, onions, beetroots, carrots, potatoes, ethanol (96% solution), national nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and antibacterial medications, A-95 gasoline, diesel fuel, and liquefied gas will be also controlled.

The Cabinet of Ministers has created a package of decisions to support Ukrainian business during the war. Among them is an exemption from payment of unique social contributions for private entrepreneurs of the first and second categories. Also, the enterprises and private entrepreneurs of the third category do not need to pay the unique social contribution for employees who joined the Armed Forces. All enterprises that are unable to pay the necessary taxes will be allowed to pay them later.
