"Energoatom" reported in the Telegram that Russian troops had mined the shores of the Kakhovka Reservoir, which borders the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
The company added that the occupiers who had seized the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant discussed their intentions to send electricity to the occupied Crimea and Donbas. However, it is impossible to do it physically.
On 3 March, the Russian troops fired at Energodar and Zaporizhzhia NPP located in the city. Therefore, the fire began on the territory of the nuclear power plant. The station staff was not injured. Three Ukrainian military defenders were killed, and two others were wounded.
On 4 March, Russian troops re-entered Energodar, a satellite city of the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
On 5 March, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that the Zaporizhzhya NPP was under Ukrainian control, but Russian troops still controlled the station's perimeter and were in Energodar.
