Yesterday, a month earlier than the established period,12.5 bln hryvnias were transferred to military units as an additional compensation to all categories of military personnel for the martial law period.
This was stated by the Minister of Defense, Oleksiy Reznikov, in his address.
“This is the first tranche for February – early March. After the systematization of combat orders, other tranches will follow. The financial support of the combatants will amount to 100,000 hryvnias per month, not including bonuses for destroyed equipment, etc. We make advance payments because we want the military to feel protected. Now it's not about formalism,” said Reznikov.
According to the Minister, a system of defense procurement for budgetary funds has been established.
“We follow a specified procedure and constantly work on the procurement. Everything is fine. The results of this work will be reported in electronic form and publicly available after the cessation or abolition of martial law,” said the Minister. “We focus on ensuring that deliveries are guaranteed and carried out on time. This applies to everything from food and clothing to ammunition. Significant fuel reserves have been formed. Now we work on logistics improvement, as many supply routes have changed. Our troops are actively maneuvering. There will definitely be some errors, but everyone is determined to correct them immediately.”
Oleksiy Reznikov also expressed his gratitude to all the citizens and businesses helping to provide for the army.
“The soldiers feel this support, so they have a different motivation than the Russian invaders,” added the Minister.
