In the Sumy region, National Police officers together with the territorial defense fighters captured 29 Russian servicemen.
This was reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
"Vigilant residents of Romenshchyna noticed a group of suspects in military uniforms in the field near one of the settlements. The information was immediately passed to the police," the Ministry said.
The prisoners said that they were going to the border using the map.
Currently, they have been transferred to the authorities.
Earlier, territorial defense fighters destroyed 18 military vehicles of the Russian occupiers in the Sumy region on March 9.
On March 3, Ukrainian troops defeated and captured an elite unit of the Russian troops, the first tank army, near Kharkiv.
