In the evening and during the night of March 12, Russia shelled Chernihiv with BM-30 Smerch MLRS and air strikes continued. The shelling was chaotic - both in the city center and in the residential areas. There is still no water supply in the whole of Chernihiv, for the second day there is no electricity. Defensive battles are being fought on the outskirts of Chernihiv, in the south and Kyiv direction. This is stated in the report from the head of RSA as of 8 a.m.
In the Kyiv region, the situation in the Bucha and Brovary districts remains tense. Fighting is taking place in Irpin and near Hostomel. Enemy vehicles pass Nemishayev and Borodyanka. There were shellings of settlements In the Brovarsky district and shootings in Vyshgorodsky district. Slavutych is still without electricity. In the Fastiv district the enemy hit the oil depot in the village of Kryachky.

In the Donetsk region, fire of varying intensity is being carried out along the entire line of hostilities. Volnovakha was seized by the occupiers. Mariupol is under siege, a humanitarian aid from Zaporizhzhia cannot reach Mariupol because of Russian troops. In Kramatorsk the night was still.
In the Luhansk region, the enemy has been firing at Severodonetsk and Rubizhne since yesterday. There are too many fires due to shelling. Almost 100,000 residents in the region are without electricity. Repair work continues around the clock. The SES supplies technical water to Popasna and Lysychansk.
