Occupiers claimed Zaporizhzhya NPP became the property of “Rosatom”

The head of NNEGC “Energoatom” Petro Kotin said that the Zaporizhzhya NPP management was informed by occupiers that the plant was now owned by “Rosatom”.

This was reported by the company's press service.

"Today, the representatives of the so-called military and civil administration came to the plant, met the management. They do not give their names - they only say that they are the representatives of the military and civil administration. They told the management that the plant was now owned by “Rosatom”, not Ukraine. They said they came here to stay and this is now their territory, so the plant must operate in accordance with Rosatom's decrees, " - Kotin said.

Earlier, since March 3 Zaporizhzhya NPP and its satellite city Energodar are under control of occupiers. As of March 10, there were 50 military vehicles, about 400 Russian military, many explosives and weapons on the territory of the NPP.

Ukrainian personnel work at all six power units of the station, but the NPP management is forced to coordinate all technical issues with the occupiers. The staff is under strong psychological pressure from the invaders.

The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine is investigating the actions of the Russian Federation at the Zaporizhzhia and Chernobyl nuclear power plants under the article "ecocide".

The day before, the occupiers were using this territory to consolidate their positions. In addition, the Russians mined the shores of the Kakhovka Reservoir near the station.
