On 11 March 2022, a tactical group consisting of Su-24m bombers, Su-25 attack aircraft, and Mi-24 helicopters of the Army Air Force conducted up to ten raids on columns of enemy military vehicles and equipment, during which the group launched powerful missile and bomb strikes on Russian armored vehicles and personnel as reported by the Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Fighter aircraft of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with Su-27 and MiG-29 aircraft, with a significant numerical advantage of the enemy, conducted up to ten air battles in several directions and returned home without losses. The statement said that nine medium-range and short-range air-to-air missiles were fired at enemy aircraft.

The Buk-M1 and S-300 anti-aircraft missiles also struck five air targets on 11 March 2022: an unmanned aerial vehicle, "Forpost" and four helicopters of the occupiers.

"Also, there is information from the air defense of the operational command North about the defeat of the rashka fighter-bomber Su-34 in Chernihiv region," added the commander of the Air Force.

The Pentagon estimates that Ukraine has managed to preserve about 80% of the potential of its Air Force.
