During the 16 days of the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine, 79 children died and almost 100 were wounded. Most victims lived in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Sumy, Kherson and Zhytomyr regions.

It is noted that these data are not final due to the lack of opportunity to inspect the places of attack, where the Russian Armed Forces are conducting hostilities.
As of now, more than 280 educational institutions in Ukraine have been damaged. 9 of them have been completely destroyed. 110 educational institutions were damaged in the Donetsk region, 28 - in the Sumy region, 17 - in Kyiv, and more than 10 institutions providing medical services to children.
"On average, r the occupiers damage or destroy 17 educational institutions every day. As a result, 7mn children were deprived of the opportunity to study due to hostilities in Ukraine and the deliberate destruction of such institutions," - the statement said.
