President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during his address, stated that Ukraine has already reached “a strategic turning point in the war.”
“We have been fighting for our freedom for sixteen days. It is four times longer than the enemy planned for his invasion … It is impossible to say how many more days we would need to free our Ukrainian land, but it is possible to say that we will do it. Because we have already reached a strategic turning point in the war, we are going to win,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
He noted that Russia's efforts to attract mercenaries are in vain.
Zelenskyy called the Russian Federation a “stubborn enemy,” who “ignores its many killed people,” and the words “Russian Federation” have become synonymous to the words “humanitarian catastrophe.”
According to the President, on 11 March, the authorities in Ukraine organized twelve humanitarian corridors.
“The Ukrainian military has provided a ceasefire so that the humanitarian corridors would work. If the occupiers fire again and disrupt the rescue of the people, they will finally receive such a response from the world that they will need humanitarian corridors themselves,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
The President said there are not enough sanctions for Russia if it continues destroying Ukrainian peaceful towns and cities. So he urged the international community to provide “new sanctions.”
“Russia must pay for this horrible war every day,” Zelenskyy added.
The head of state also stressed that despite the war in Ukraine, the plan is to launch a sowing campaign as well as possible.
“When we protect our freedom, we each have to be as a full-fledged army. We have to do everything in our power to get the result we all deserve. To win, we have to hold on, fight, give all our strength! It will not be easy with such a neighbor, but they will not have it easy with us as well,” the President noted.
