The State Bureau of Investigations investigates 38 cases of aiding aggressors by the Ukrainian officials and law enforcement officers under the “high treason” article, the statement from SBI says.
SBI investigators began criminal proceedings regarding several police officers in Mariupol. They have committed high treason under martial law conditions and sided with the enemy.
“We emphasize that SBI recorded only a few cases of the police officers switching sides to the Russian occupiers. The vast majority have not betrayed the Ukrainian people and heroically defend our Motherland. Law enforcement officers have also identified representatives of local self-government who actively support and propagate Russian aggression. One of the local officials was detained in Kramatorsk. Similar actions are recorded in the territories that Russia temporarily occupies,” the State Bureau of Investigations stated.
Traitors are exposed in cooperation with the prosecutor's office and other law enforcement agencies.
Earlier, the suspicion of high treason received the “Opposition Platform — For Life” MP, Illia Kyva, the assistance of the MP from the same party who was caught spying for the Russian FSS, the mayor of Pivdennyi in the Kharkiv region, etc.
