UAF forced enemy to retreat in two directions; in Chernihiv region, occupiers are looking for a way to surrender - General Staff

The defense forces of Ukraine are fighting back and holding back the Russian offensives in all directions.

On 10 March the defenders forced the enemy to retreat to weaker positions in the north-western areas of Polissia and Volyn. The village of Baklanova Muraivka in the Siversky area was liberated, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) said in the evening briefing.

Kyiv defenders firmly hold the city limits, guarding the city’s critical infrastructure.

“Russian occupiers were stopped in all directions. The enemy suffers great losses of personnel, ammunition and equipment. The invaders focused their attempts on spreading disinformation and propaganda by all available means. With the help of cyber units and federal media, the enemy actively spreads disinformation regarding the activities of the military and political leadership of Ukraine, creates and distributes fake news about Ukraine accepting the Russian conditions, surrendering and laying down arms to the Ukrainian military. We urge you to trust only reliable sources and keep calm,” the General Staff said.

At the same time, information about the actual situation is reaching Russia. There are rumors among the military about the inability of the Russian Ministry of Defense to pay salaries due to sanctions, which demoralizes the personnel of the occupying forces.

“The occupiers are looking for a way to surrender near Shestovytsia, in the Chernihiv region,” the UAF added.

The head of the Mykolaiv regional state administration said that, on the border of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, the occupiers’ forces are trying to negotiate with UAF to accept their surrender, in exchange for saving their lives.
