Ukrainian railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) delivered almost 9000 tons cargo to support of the affected regions for a week, - Kubrakov

Ukrainian railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) has delivered 8,882 tons of humanitarian aid to hot spots in Ukraine in the first seven days of March. Due to the large volume, cargo is transported not only in freight cars, but also in passenger coaches. During the war, the government uses all logistical opportunities to support the affected regions.

According to the Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov, 3,383 tons of rubber aid have already been delivered with the help of passenger coaches. And this dynamic will only grow.

"Here, we are talking about priority needs: food, water, medicine, children's goods, etc. Everything that hero cities need: Kharkiv, Mariupol, Chernihiv, Volnovakha, as well as Sumy, Kyiv and other cities and towns,” - Kubrakov said.

According to him, half-empty passenger coaches are loaded with humanitarian aid after the evacuation of civilians to Western Ukraine and sent back in the eastern direction.

Ukrzaliznytsia has delivered more than 470 tons of aid only to Kharkiv region thanks to this, from March 1 to 7. 230 tons have been delivered to Donetsk region and 2,450 tons to the Kyiv region. In addition, Ukrainian autocarriers are working. The main logistical burden fell on them, and the government rebuilt the entire system of international road transport to make it work at full capacity.

"It is well-established logistics that guarantee that cities will survive, and resistance to the aggressor will only increase.

After all, Ukrainians know that there is no reason to despair when the whole country is with them, unlike hungry and disoriented Russian soldiers, who were thrown to their fate by Russia's criminal leadership, " - the infrastructure minister added.
