In martial law, the registration of a newborn child is a simplified procedure. All you need is a paper medical birth certificate.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation announced this information.

"Life goes on. New lives are born, despite the war. However, the exact number of newborns is unknown today because it is impossible to know the number of babies in the country's shelters," the statement said.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation explained that the "e-Maliatko" [e-Baby] service is currently unavailable due to martial law. However, you can register a child in the nearest department of the State Register for Civil Status, where there are no war actions. All you need to register a baby is a paper medical birth certificate completed under form №103 / о.

If there is no access to the State Register for Civil Status, the government agencies will make a paper entry. And as soon as access is restored, all information will be entered into the register within five working days.

As of the morning of 10 March 2022, since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, 71 children have died and more than 100 others have been injured.

An NFT project has been launched in Ukraine to help children affected by war.
