The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine summed up the preliminary results of the sixteenth day of the Ukrainian people's opposition to the Russian military invasion.
It stated that the enemy was continuing the offensive operation against Ukraine. However, the Russian invaders did not achieve the primary goal of capturing certain cities and territories.
Due to this, there is a high probability that the Russian Federation will intensify terrorist methods of combat operations like launching missile and bomb strikes on civilian infrastructure and residential areas.
In addition, the enemy resorted to intimidating civilians, undermining the population's trust in local government officials by informational and psychological actions, spreading disinformation, and taking people hostage.
"The occupying forces units do not stop attempts to continue the offensive in all directions. They take measures to form and coordinate reserves in the Russian Federation to achieve the goal. Many Russian units are restoring combat capability," informed the General Staff.
The Russian occupiers continue to conduct air reconnaissance of the positions of our troops in the Donetsk, Tavriya, Pivdennobuzhskyy and Bessarabian operational areas.
"To involve the Republic of Belarus in the war against Ukraine, the enemy resorted to provocative actions. According to available information, The Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft struck the settlements on the territory of the Republic of Belarus near the state border of Ukraine. To disguise itself, the Russian Federation attacked from the airspace of Ukraine," the General Staff stressed.
In close cooperation with other security and defence components, the Ukrainian Armed Forces give a decent rebuff to the occupiers, inflicting significant losses on military personnel and equipment.
The moral and psychological state of the enemy is deficient. It is demoralized, and the occupiers surrender.
