Kyiv is getting ready for a possible blockade. A two-week supply of food has been collected for two million residents who have stayed in the capital.
This is reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration.
“A two week supply of necessary food has been formed, for two million residents who have stayed in the city. Kyiv is ready for possible actions in case of a blockade. Those two million Kyivians who haven’t left their homes won’t be alone in case the situation gets worse,” the message says.
Also, the city administration emphasises that the residents of Kyiv get their salaries and pensions, and this is why they are asked not only to buy all they need in stores, but also pay utilities as far as possible.
“The city is grateful to its Ukrainian and foreign partners who in the shortest possible time managed to provide the necessary goods to big and small stores and organise their delivery which is almost flawless,” the message highlights.
As a reminder, according to the data from the General Staff, the enemy is trying to encircle Kyiv. Ukrainian defenders are fighting back the attacks on the approaches to the capital.
