One of the pregnant women injured in the Mariupol bombing of a maternity hospital died together with her unborn child. The Voice of America journalist Asya Dolina said in her Facebook post.
"The first pregnant girl from the video/photo reports from the bombing site of the children's hospital №3 in Mariupol (maternity hospital), who was carried on a stretcher, did not survive. And her unborn child did not survive," the post read. According to the journalist, the information was confirmed by photographer Yevhen Maloletka, who took a photo of the women for the Associated Press.
As of 13 March, the number of deaths in Mariupol as a result of Russia’s airstrikes reached 2187 people.
