Zelenskyy named the first two steps of tax reform for businesses in wartime

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the Cabinet of Ministers has agreed on a package of decisions to support the economy and business in Ukraine during martial law.

He stated this in his video address.

"The Cabinet of Ministers has agreed on a package of decisions to support our economy. To make the business work. To keep people at work. Where safety situation allows it. Where people are ready. First. We are starting tax reform. Instead of VAT and income tax, we give the rate of 2% of turnover and simplified accounting. We set a voluntary payment of a single tariff for small businesses, the 1st and 2nd groups of private entrepreneurs. It means, if you can, you pay. You can not, then no questions, "said the President.

"Second. Full deregulation of business. We abolish all inspections for all businesses. So that everybody could work properly. So that cities come to life. So that wherever there is no war action, life goes on," Zelenskyy added.

He also emphasized that these are just the first two steps of tax reform.

Earlier, the President said that Ukraine has simplified conditions of conducting business to preserve the economy. According to Zelenskyy, the Government has received explicit instruction to return small and medium-sized businesses to work.

Today, the Tax Committee of the Parliament of Ukraine unanimously approved the text of the new law on business support 7137-d.
