On 14 March 2022, the Russian occupiers fired on the evacuation convoy during the evacuation from the Kyiv region. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
"The evacuation from Hostomel took place within two stages. The first convoy consisting of 10 buses, mostly mothers with children, the elderly, and people with disabilities, successfully reached its destination. As for another convoy of 4 buses was attacked with mortar fire of Russian troops," the statement said.
According to the police, the bus driver was injured. In addition, the occupiers fired at a car, with a couple inside, killing a woman.
A total of 500 people from Dmytrivka and Nemishaievo were evacuated.
Footage of war actions in the Hostomel direction near Kyiv has appeared online. Intense combats are going there during the day and night. The shellings of civilian infrastructure by enemy artillery do not stop for a minute.
