Russian invaders have strengthened the guard of Ukrainian-Belarusian border with subdivisions of the Armed Forces of Belarus.
This has been reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine describing the situation with the Russian invasion as of 14 March 6 pm.
“Occupiers’ forces are pursuing the offensive operation against Ukraine. The main goal of carrying out military action in the territory of our State hasn’t been achieved by the enemy. Being resisted and suffering casualties, occupiers have to switch to defence and surrender to Ukrainian defenders more and more often,” the General Staff states.
In most directions, trying to advance, occupiers get resistance from the Ukrainian armed forces and people.
Not having any success in capturing new territories, Russia is destroying military and civil infrastructure of Ukraine by carrying out missile and bomb strikes with their air forces. Occupiers shell residential areas of big cities, and therefore neglect the norms of International Humanitarian Law.
“Occupiers are making attempts to take control of settlements in the area of Izium city. Defence groups keep carrying out a defensive operation within the Southern, Eastern, and Northern operational zones. The Armed Forces of Ukraine in collaboration with other components of defence forces successfully eliminate the enemy and show mass examples of heroism, courage and professional excellence,” the General Staff announces.
As a reminder, earlier the General Staff reported that Russia was regrouping its forces in order to renew the attempts to attack Kyiv.
According to updated information, losses among occupiers as of 14 March are more than 12 thousand personnel, 389 tanks, 1249 armoured vehicles and a lot of other equipment.
