The video showing the results of shelling in Kyiv in the morning, 14 March, was uploaded on the YouTube channel of the project Ukrainian Witness.

As the description says, around 5 am an artillery shell hit the residential building at 20 Bohatyrska street.

“As a result of the strike, one person died and 10 people were wounded. 70 residents, whose houses had been damaged or ruined, were evacuated from the building. They did it the best they could, and they owe their rescue to the members of territorial defence and workers of emergency services,” the channel Ukrainian Witness reports.

The volunteers of this project have collected some comments of the residents who were affected by the shelling.

“We haven’t seen what it was that landed here. We only heard an explosion and fire — that’s it,” Tetiana says.

Without taking any phones, documents, food, water or clothes, the people were leaving their house in all possible ways, the volunteers say.

Right after the explosion, territorial defence forces and workers of the State Emergency Service came. They started putting out the fire and breaking down doors to unblock the exit, helping the residence to come down from high floors.

Fortunately, not many flats were inhabited. The rescue workers evacuated 81 residents, 10 of whom were wounded. One person died.

As a reminder, on 14 March the mayor of the capital Vitalii Klychko spoke about damage recovery after Russian attacks on Kyiv.

Today, on 14 March, around 11 am Ukrainian air defence forces shot down a Russian missile. Its pieces fell on a residential building in the Podil district.
