Cosmetic company Amway stops supplying its products to the Russian Federation and closes all operations in the market of the country-aggressor.

This is said in the company's statement.

"The reality of our business is that we have Amway friends, colleagues, and entrepreneurs in both countries who have worked together for years in harmony with a common goal. Unfortunately, however, the war and the global legal and operational environment make it impossible to continue doing business in Russia, so we announce the immediate suspension of imports and other operations, "the company said.

Amway is also ready to support Ukrainians who left the country because of the war.

"We have been defending our ideals for over 60 years, especially in challenging times around the world. We sincerely hope that peace will prevail and that we will be able to return to full support for operations and opportunities for all who are part of the Amway family." the statement said.

Founded in 1959 by Amway Corp. is an international manufacturer of goods of mass demand for beauty, health, and housekeeping. The company currently operates in more than 100 countries. Total sales in 2020 reached $ 8.5bn.

After Russia's military invasion of Ukraine, dozens of global companies and brands in various industries announced the termination of their work in RF. The ruling party "Yedyna Rosia" said that the assets of such companies should be "nationalized" as their exit from the market could be seen as "deliberate bankruptcy."

A list of 59 foreign enterprises that can be "nationalized" has already been sent to the Government and the General Prosecutor Office of the Russian Federation. There are Volkswagen, Apple, IKEA, Microsoft, IBM, Shell, McDonald's, Porsche, Toyota, and H&M.
