President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded 234 militaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who are defending our country from the invasion of the Russian Federation with state awards.
He stated this in his video address.
"Today, I signed a decree on awarding state awards to 234 militaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who showed courage in the struggle for Ukraine, for our independence. Fifty-nine of them - posthumously," Zelenskyy said.
"Eternal memory to everyone who gave his life for our state. Eternal gratitude to our heroes. Glory to Ukraine," the President added.
Earlier Zelenskyy awarded a title of the Hero of Ukraine to 13 defenders, to five of them - posthumously.
