The Russian occupiers again damaged the power line to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and the city of Slavutych, which was repaired by Ukrainian specialists yesterday.
The press service of National Power Company Ukrenergo reported that emergency crews are forced to go to the danger zone again and repair the damage.
"At 07:07 pm, on 13 March, the emergency crews put the line under voltage and restored the power supply of the Chernobyl infrastructure and the city of Slavutych. However, they could not complete these works because the occupiers soon damaged the line again," the statement said.
Ukrenergo stressed that the Chornobyl NPP is an important facility that cannot be left without a reliable energy supply. The power supply of Slavutych residents also depends on the power lines of the nuclear power plant.
"Therefore, unimpeded and quick access of Ukrenergo repair crews to this line for inspections and repairs is crucial not only for Ukrainian consumers but also for the whole of Europe. It will help avoid one more Chernobyl disaster and save lives and health of people who can become its victims," the Ukrainian energy company said.
