Local civil activist Artem Kostyuchenko stated that Russians kidnaped Oleksandr Yakovlyev, Skadovsk city Mayor, and his Deputy, Yurii Paliukha.
Artem invited fellow residents to gather for a rally in the city center. He conducts online streaming to social media.
Update: around 2:30 PM city Mayor released a video on his Facebook page, saying that he is fine. “We had some conversations, and they let me go. I am fine. They promised to let every one of us. Stay calm, we are safe. Continue to do your jobs,” - he said in his video. At the same time, he looked very disturbed, shaky, his eyes were constantly looking at someone or something.
Earlier last week, Russians have already kidnapped Melitopol city Mayor Ivan Fedorov, who declined to cooperate with occupation authorities. He is still kept hostage. A Russian collaborator - Halyna Danylchenko - was appointed as a new "city mayor."
Another Mayor - of Dniprorudne city - was kidnapped last week as well.
