On 21 March 2022, the Russian occupiers increased the presence of their aircraft in Ukraine's airspace.

This was reported by the Command of the Air Force of the UAF (Armed Forces of Ukraine).

In addition to many UAVs, the enemy uses bombers, assault and fighter aircraft, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles all over the country.

"The Air Force aircraft conducted dozens of aircraft raids participating in air battles, carrying out interceptions and strikes on columns and agglomerations of rashysts' military vehicles and equipment," the statement said.

On 21 March 2022, the air defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed four UAVs, two helicopters, and several cruise missiles. The Air Force also informs about the damage of one occupant's aircraft and two drones.

In general, on 21 March 2022, the air defense of the state destroyed: 1 aircraft, two helicopters, 6 UAVs OTP, cruise missiles (number to be specified).

There are around 40 airfields with tactical military aviation near the borders of Ukraine. The aircraft of occupiers are attacking Ukraine from airfields in Russia, Belarus, and the occupied Crimea.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that our military "shot down so many aircraft and helicopters that one can only wonder if their pilots are empty-headed as well."
